Lone yokozuna Terunofuji cut short his latest injury comeback Thursday following his second loss of the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament.
The 33-year-old grand champion struggled from the outset of the ongoing competition at Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokugikan arena as he tried to return from chronic knee pain and symptoms of diabetes that kept him out of the two previous tournaments.
