Lewotobi Lakilaki volcano (Flores, Indonesia): vigorous eruption yesterday

The eruptive activity continues from the volcano.

A powerful explosion occurred from the volcano’s crater yesterday. At about 14:07 local time, grey ash-rich emissions rose up to 3,5 km altitude and drifted north-northeast.

The alert level for the volcano remains at Level 3 (Siaga).

In order to mitigate the current risk, people are advised to avoid the area of 5 km from the crater and 6 km from the southwest-northeast sector.
