Japan’s household spending in November fell a real 0.4 percent from a year earlier, declining for the fourth straight month, as consumers cut outlays on home appliances and food amid rising prices, government data showed Friday.
Average spending by households of two or more people stood at 295,518 yen ($1,900), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said.
